Ramsbottom United’s run of five consecutive wins in pre-season came to an end with a 3-0 defeat to FC United.

The game’s first goal arrived on 33 minutes, when Roca was on hand to convert a right-wing cross.

The Rams hit back, and Mark Sharples saw his shot hit the post.

Andy Sensale and Dominic Smalley also went close.

But FC United made the game safe through Deegan on 76 minutes, and Maloney six minutes later.
