FC UNITED manager Karl Marginson spoke of his pride as his team equalled the North West County’s League record of 12 consecutive victories.

Their a 3-0 victory over Bacup Borough at Gigg Lane matched Skelmersdale United’s previous effort.

Goals from Stuart Rudd, Liam Coyne and an own-goal from Bacup’s Simon Myerscough gave them the win in front of a bumper 3,268 crowd.

“I’m really proud of the lads and hopefully we’ll carry on in the same style,” said Karl.
