Misguided marketing ruse of the day: FC United of Manchester host Stalybridge Celtic in an FA Cup third preliminary round game at Gigg Lane on Sunday.
It is the furthest FC United have progressed in the FA Cup, and to mark the occasion the club have given it an intriguing theme.
General manager Andy Walsh said: "Supporters are planning to bring flags, banners, scarves and wear all sorts of 70's attire to help create an atmosphere reminiscent of days gone by."
If FC United want a 70s-themed day they should bring back pissing down the bloke in front's back, racially abusing players and rucking in the car park afterwards armed with bicycle chains.
