FC United - The Fans' club

Source: manchesteronline.co.uk

IN May 2005 a group of disgruntled Manchester United fans decided to go it alone and set up a 'new' United team.

In just over six months FC United was created from scratch, players recruited, coaches installed and the team now stands 15 points clear at the top of the North West Counties League division two.

Even more remarkably the team regularly attracts over 3,000 fans for home games at Gigg Lane and takes at least a couple of thousand to away games!

FC United - The Fans' Club, produced by our sister TV station Channel M will feature action from a selection of games in January and talks to club co-founder and spokesperson Andy Walsh about his own highs and lows over the last few months.

Fans, players and the management team add their own reasons for joining FC United.
The programme goes out on Monday at 7pm and 10.30pm and is repeated on Tuesday at 12 noon and 4.30pm. It is on again on Wednesday at 9pm and then again on Friday at 11pm.

Channel M
is available on channel 39 [615 mhz] or on NTL digital cable channel 26.
