Karl Marginson admits FC United face a tough test as they pit their wits against this season’s FA Cup giantkillers.
The Rebels travel to big-spending Eastwood Town, who dumped unbeaten League Two leaders Wycombe Wanderers out of the competition on Saturday. But the Gigg Lane tenants make the trip to Nottingham full of confidence after defeating UniBond Premier League table-toppers Hednesford Town 3-0 seven days ago.
“They are a really well-organised, physical side and they’ve shown that by how well they’ve done in the FA Cup,” said Marginson, whose 11th-placed team suffered a narrow 1-0 defeat to Eastwood last month. “But we had a great result against Hednesford and we want to build on that now.”
